Anna Silk is a Fredericton native and the child of Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had many talents, including being able to act, direct, produce, write plays as well as teach and serve as director of drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was the daughter of both a British father as well as an British-born Turkish Cypriot mother. Early on, Anna appeared on several television commercials. Anna was able to move to Toronto in Ontario in order to pursue acting. Over the years which followed, she relocated in Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman met Anna at a Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007. The couple got engaged. Anna became a Jew in 2011, after she converted to Judaism. The couple was married civilly in December of this year. They then reaffirmed their vows during a Jewish ceremony held in Fredericton the month of April in 2011. Bo's same sex relationship, together with Lauren (played Zoie Palermo) was featured in CNN as being among the top television Couples. E! named it "the most popular TV Couple" of 2013. Entertainment Television. Anna's social media following grew due to the popularity of her television show.
