Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actress. Paquin was born in Wellington but was born and bred in Winnipeg was first seen in the acting world in The Piano. At age 11 she was an infant Academy Award winner ever for Best Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin born July 24 the 24th of July, 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster for the Best Supporting Actress award for portraying the inquisitive and talkative daughter of Holly Hunter's main part on the film The Piano. She won the role of Flora McGrath the daughter of an mute Scottish pianist who, in the middle of the 19th century makes her way back to New Zealand for an arranged marriage after responding to an audition open to all; she was nine years aged and had little previous experience as an actor. She also played teens as teens in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon(1999) and Almost Famous (2000). The actress also played the role of groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
