Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actress. Paquin was born in Winnipeg, raised in Wellington and first made her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath when she played her role in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 years old for Best support Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin, born July 24 the 24th of July, 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster as Best Supporting Actress portraying the inquisitive and talkative child of Holly Hunter's principal part in The Piano. After a public audition, when she was nine, she became Flora McGrath - the daughter of a Scottish muffled pianist during the 19th century. They was able to move into New Zealand to marry an arranged husband. As a teenager, she made the move to America. Paquin performed the leading role in the film Fly Away Home in 1996 and also had a small part as Jane Eyre in the film when she was just a young child. Paquin was a part-time actress in the television movie of 1997 remake of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad which she was in, she played the queen of Spain with a small part. She portrayed teens on the screen in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) and A Walk on the Moon (1999) as well as portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on the screen in Almost Famous (2000).
