Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. She was born in Winnipeg and raised in Wellington Paquin made her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the age of 11, making the youngest recipient at the age of 11 in Oscar history. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin, born July 24 on the 24th of July in 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster for the Best Supporting Actress award for portraying the inquisitive and talkative daughter of Holly Hunter's main part The Piano. Her role was Flora McGrath the daughter of the mute Scottish pianist, who in the middle of the 19th century makes her way to New Zealand for an arranged marriage when she responded to an open audition at the age of nine. She was young and lacked prior experience in acting. In her teens, Paquin relocated to America. Paquin performed the leading role in Fly Away Home in 1996 and had a minor part in the film as Jane Eyre at the time she was only a child. Paquin appeared as Frankie Addams in a 1997 film adaptation for television of the novel written by Carson McCullers The Member of the Wedding and played the role as the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997). She was also a character for Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon(1999) as well as Almost Famous (2000). In addition, she was the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
