Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US and is a Greek-American writer, syndicated writer of columns and businesswoman. She was a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a writer and philanthropist as well as a television host as well as the proprietor of the independently free online news publication The Huffington Post. When she moved into England from Greece when she was 16, she received a MA with a major in Economics from Cambridge University. First foreign-born graduate to serve as president in the famous debating group The Cambridge Union, at 21, she was able to take over the presidency. After graduation she made her mark as a conservative syndicated columnist as well as with the introduction of The Huffington Post' few years later, she developed an online voice portal which offered critical observations regarding the state of affairs. Her celebrity status helped her by attracting a variety of high-profile contributors to post their views on news, politics, and other topics. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 top media personalities in 2009. AOL, Inc. made her the President of their media company in 2011 following the purchased The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post included additional AOL brands such as Engadget AOLmusic Style list or Patch Media. The parents of her were Elli as well as Konstantinos Stasinopoulos who was who was a consultant in management as well as a journalist. While she was very close to her father, it was the relationship she shared with her mother which shaped her entire life. When she was a teen she displayed leadership qualities that she's still known for. When she was 16 she relocated to the United Kingdom to pursue her studies and enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. She was a member of the Cambridge Union college debate society while in college and was the third female to serve as president. Her graduation was in 1972 and she earned an MA in Economics. Following her degree she became a columnist, critic and a host on TV. In addition, she was a part of an edition of Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books taking editorial help from Bernard Levin.
