Despacito is a song by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi, and Daddy Yankee became the song that was streamed the most within less than six weeks. The song is a mix of pop music and Reggaeton was released in the year 2017 by singer from Puerto Rico Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee. The track became the most-streamed at that time within six months. Billboard's Top 100 in 2015 had two songs that were mostly Spanish languages, while the year the year 2016 featured four. In the height of Despacito's popularity in 2017, 19 songs mainly made in Spanish reached at the very top of 100. The number grew to 41 by 2020. In the wake of Justin Bieber's dual remix to Despacito (2017) famous artists began to collaborate with reggaeton artists, including Drake and Bad Bunny on MIA (2018) and Madonna together with Maluma for Medellin (2019). In 2020, a few Reggaeton artists were complaining about the trend of their genre to the mainstream. But a newer generation, such as Rauw Alejandro was determined to keep the trend going. It was often associated with electronic dance as well as different types.
